Fluorescence
Fluorescence, a factor independent of the 4Cs, has a direct important influence on the value and appearance of a diamond.
No fluorescence is visible when exposed to ultraviolet rays. The diamond can exhibit beautiful fire and its color will not be affected.
Faint fluorescence is visible when exposed to ultraviolet rays,
and has very limited impact on the appearance and value of the diamond.
A diamond with strong fluorescence may fluoresce under sunlight, and you can observe its cloudy or oily appearance with the naked eye. Strong fluorescence may affect the fire and brightness of the diamond, making the diamond look dull.
For the colorless diamonds weighing 30 points or more with high clarity grade, you need to pay more attention to their fluorescence. The stronger the fluorescence, the harder it is to bring out the fire of the diamond. A diamond with strong fluorescence enjoys no price advantage compared with a non-fluorescent diamond. Therefore, it is advised to purchase the high quality diamonds with “None” or “Faint” fluorescence. In order to awaken the market and customers’ consciousness about diamond fluorescence, DiaPure meticulously selects the diamonds with “None” or “Faint” fluorescence to give you peace of mind for the purchase.
